Asia club party paving way for international festival

Koza Music Town and Okinawa City are teaming up Saturday to host an Asia Club Party in Ryukyu, a pre-event building up to next year’s International Asian Music Festival.

Organizers say it’s going to be a “big party night” as all major players on the Japan and Okinawa music scene, including the nation’s top deejays, will be joining the late night event at Koza Music Town at Goya Intersection in Okinawa City. Advance tickets are ¥2,000, with tickets ¥2,500 at the door.

Performers slated for Sagturday night include MISIA, Dorom Tour, Asian tour members and Okinawan deejay Ta-Shi. kTaiwan’s favorite deejay Maykai will be on hand, along with Hong Kong dance music scene deejay Frankie Lam. Doors open at Koza Music Town at 10 p.m. Saturday, with the show getting under way at 11 p.m.

Okinawa Prefecture and the Okinawa International Asian Music Festival Musix 2010 committee are supporting the Saturday evening show.
