Cop run over by a teen on motorbikeDate Posted: 2009-01-15 The policeman suffered serious facial injuries and had front teeth knocked out. His injuries are expected to take four weeks to heal. The officer was at a police checkpoint at 1 Chou Me in Naha when the motorbike with two riders approached. He attempted to stop the 100cc bike, but the 15-year-old driver ran him over. The boy broke his nose in the crash. Officials say he will require several weeks treatment. He was charged with driving without a license. The youngster riding the back seat of the motorbike fled the scene, but later turned himself in to a police station. |
