Cutlets, salmon, Sirloin steak headline January menu

Sunny Side, a western foods and steakhouse restaurant, it tantalizing taste buds in January with its pork cutlet cordon bleu, pan fried salmon and hot vegetables, and Sirloin steak cooked Teppanyaki style.

The family-run restaurant in Ginowan City’s Ojana area features a wide-ranging menu that includes luncheon steaks for only ¥1,580. Sunny Side is nestled in what formerly was a home for American families, offering amenities such as a full English menu to the foreign community. The restaurant is operated by Naoki Uechi, an experienced French chef with seven years under his belt at ANA Hotel and another ten years running Ryukyu Izakaya, with his wife Miho by his side.
The special monthly menu is Uechi-san’s idea, keeping dining experiences fresh for repeat guests. Sunny Side also caters private parties for groups of up to 16, with a special price of ¥2,500 for the meal and ¥1,500 for a drinks combo of one beer, awamori and a soft drink.

Sunny Side, which opened last August 20th, is located at 1-20-7 Ojana, in Ginowan City. From Camp Foster, turn left at the Mashikikita junction on Highway 58. Once past the Morikawa Park, sunny Side—with its bright red sign board—is located on the left. Sunny side is open daily 11:30 a.m. ~ 11 p.m.

The restaurant, which has a parking lot for seven cars, accepts major credit cards including Diners, American Express, JCB, Visa, DC and MasterCard. Reservations are available at (098) 890-1824.
