Knife-wielding robber strikes 2nd time in Nago

Date Posted: 2008-12-27

Nago City Police are looking for a male bandit who’s brandished a knife and struck local businesses twice in the past week.
The robber entered a billiards hall in the city’s Dainan area shortly before 4:30 p.m. Christmas eve, threatening the female clerk and demanding money. The billiards parlor wasn’t open and the clerk was alone at the time. Fearful for her life, she took ¥200,000 from the cash register and gave it to the robber, who then fled.
The bold daylight robbery was the second in a week, with police believing the same man was involved. A convenience store about 500 meters away from the billiards hall was hit December 19th, with the robber again waving a knife as he demanded money. Police say descriptions of the man match those provided by both the convenience store and billiards hall clerks.
