Ophelia Palmer won free tickets to Okinawa Zoo Park “Christmas Fantasy ‘08.” She is from Quantico, VA, and has been on Okinawa only three months. She says that she heard plenty of good things about Okinawa before moving here, and nothing has disappointed her so far. “The people here are real nice and friendly,” she says. She says that she was most impressed when she saw some local kids break dancing. She says that she has not had too much time to sample local foods, but “so far rainbow sushi rolls have been impressive.”

Nikki Ahn from Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, won a discount coupon to Kupu Kupu Spa. She has live on Okinawa two years, and says “Okinawa is a wonderful place to live.” She also says that she enjoys teaching at Zukeran. “My class is simply great,” she states. She says that her hobbies include travel, cooking and reading. “My greatest joy on this island has been to meet and spend time with great people,” she says.
