Annual CFC fundraising drive now under wayDate Posted: 2008-10-03 The annual campaign encouraging contributions for everything from adoption agencies to Christian organizations to veteran’s groups to health care agencies…and more…opened Wednesday and runs through December 3rd. The CFC got its start in the mid-1950’s, growing as service members became more aware of fundraising and charitable institutions, and the technological age made it easier to donate. A special Combined Federal Campaign brochure is available through CFC coordinators at military units, offering details on each participating organization, and providing pledge and donation forms. Unit coordinators also can offer assistance to those wanting to make online donations at www.cfcoverseas.org. |
