Chris Ayangco from San Diego, California, won Y4,000 worth of dinner tickets to Sam’s-by-the Sea. He has been on Okinawa four months, and says that his first impression of the island is that it is “Very humid and hot, but the people are friendly, and learning the culture is really enjoyable.” He likes to spend his free time with his wife Kathleen singing karaoke and taking rides together in his car.

Andrea Hawk won a \2,500 discount ticket to Kupu Kupu Spa and another \2,500 discount ticket to Jason Arbocast Photography. Originally from Allentown, Pa, she has lived on Okinawa five years. Working as a speech-language pathologist at Kadena Elementary School, she says her passion and hobby is scuba diving. She says that “Since moving to Okinawa I no longer spend time longing to travel to an island paradise, because that’s where I live! And that’s wonderful!”
