Date Posted: 2008-08-05

Urasoe Sogyo High School roared into Koshien Stadium Monday, looking for blood in the first round of the Japan National High School Baseball Tournament.
They got what they were looking for, racing to a 7-0 win over Fukuoka Iizuka High School, sending Okinawa into the second round of the annual summer tournament Friday against Chiba Keizaidai Fusoku High School.
Chiba beat Kindai Fusoku High School 3-0 to earn the right to face Okinawa in the tournament in Hyogo Prefecture. Koshien Stadium has been the setting for the tournament for 90 straight years.
Urasoe Sogyo is making its third trip to the national tournament, and the first time in 11 years.
