Kuwae Daiichi Park ideal for toddlers and pets

Date Posted: 2008-05-16

It’s a small park, but Kuwae Daiichi Park has everything a toddler could ask for.

A sandbox sits center stage at the park nestled in a neighborhood near Kadena Air Base, and there’s plenty of green grass to satisfy people wanting to rest. Pets are staking claim to the Kuwae Park greens, too.

Banyan trees are abundant, tucked between several stands of trees that are interspersed around the park plot. It’s an ideal place to just sit, relax and contemplate life on the lush green grass. The Kuwae Daiichi Park location is ideal attracting plasant breezes much of the time, keeping the temperatures a bit cooler.

To reach Kuwai Daiichi Park, exit Kadena Gate 1 and turn left onto Highway 58. At Highway 23, also known as Kokutai Street, turn left and drive straight, past the Eagle Lodge and police box on the left. At the next intersection look for a Laws’s on the right, then turn and proceed 200 meters. The park is right there. There’s no parking within the park, and no rest room facilities, but parking is available on the adjacent streets.
