Kitamae Daiichi Park Wide open spaces beckon

Date Posted: 2008-05-09

Kitamae Daiichi Park is close to Camp Foster, and has plenty of grassy open space for kids to run and play.

Just around the corner from Araha Beach, the park is well maintained, and is fenced to protect playing youngsters. It’s also well lit, for those wandering the grassy knolls at night. The animal shaped benches are a magnet for younger children, who also have swings, slides and a sandbox to occupy their time.

Older kids find the wide open spaces, big enough for baseball and basketball, to be attractive. For visitors of all ages, Kitamae Daiichi Park is an ideal location for walking and exercise, and to take in the beautiful sunsets at twilight. There are no restroom facilities, and parking is outside the park.

To visit Kitamae Daiichi Park, exit Camp Foster Kitamae Gate, turning right onto Highway 58. At San-A Hanby Town on the left, turn left, continuing to the end of the street. At the dead end, turn left and continue to the Araha Beach gate, then turn right and go straight until reaching a children’s clothing store. Turn right at the shop with a rabbit mark. The park is directly behind the shop.
