Camp Hansen Friendship Festival 2003 invites everyone to partyDate Posted: 2003-09-06 For children and the young at heart, there will be plenty of fun and game booths, and at Kiddie Land, kids can enjoy parachute ride, Jacob's Ladder, giant slide, and more. A variety of mouth-watering cultural foods, and delicious festival entrees including yakisoba and teriyaki chicken on a stick insure that no one leaves the festival hungry. All-American favorites like hot dogs, cheeseburgers, pizza, barbecue spare ribs, and chili cheese nachos will be available from MCCS Clubs and restaurants. Festival entertainment will be red-hot, including live bands in concert both days, including the classic rock of Jet, the modern rock sounds of Weekend Excursion, the cool jazz of Trinity, the electrifying Pop/variety band Steel Rod, and more. There will also be performances by Okinawan dancers and drummers, DJs and others. Admission to the festival is free and is open to everyone island wide. Organizers ask visitors to refrain from bringing pets, coolers, bottles, or any types of glass containers.
