Fad Tech Sales and Services celebrates 5th anniversary

Date Posted: 2002-08-31

This September, Fad Tech Sales and Services celebrates its 5th year in business. The company specializes in Internet services, satellite TV, cell phones, pagers, computer repairs and international calls. In essence, it’s a “One Stop Shop” for those needing any kind of telecommunication services

“Being a foreigner myself and not able to speak Japanese well, it occurred to me that many foreign residents in Okinawa had the same dilemma I was experiencing when I needed to buy a cell phone, get an internet connection or a satellite TV connection. I got an idea to have a place where foreigners can get services like everyone else without having trouble with the language,” says Rose Liggayu-Raymundo, the president and owner of Fad Tech Sales and Services. She says that after working a number of years as a sales clerk for an AAFES concessionaire and later as a representative for Ford Military Sales she got plenty of experience doing businesses with Americans.

The main goal of Fad Tech is to offer convenience and satisfaction to customers. “We try to create an atmosphere where foreigners can feel at ease,” she says. “That’s what we set to do when we opened the shop five years ago, and that’s what we will be doing in the future.”

To celebrate their anniversary Fad Tech is offering big discounts to customers who purchase at least three products or services at the same time. Fad Tech does not require their foreign customers to sign a special contract, nor is a deposit or cash advance necessary. During September, the store will give various gifts to all customers.

Their multi-lingual staff can serve customers in English, Japanese, Sindhi (Indian language) and Tagalog. New services are also planned that will be announced in this newspaper.

Fad Tech is located on Hwy 58, on Camp Lester side of the road. They are open 10 a.m. ~ 6 p.m. daily except Sundays. The phone number is 936-5842.
