Awase Children's Park: Tiny, but very safe for kids

Date Posted: 2008-03-13

Itís not a very big park, and it doesnít have an abundance of playground equipment, but Awase Childrenís Park has safety and security that parents love.

The park does have a slide, swings and a sand box for kids to cut loose their exuberant energy, and they can do it in safety. Thereís a fence between Awase Childrenís Park and the nearby street, and it is in a housing area and near a school, making it a traveled area. There are rest room facilities and benches for adults to relax and watch the children playing, but parking is not offered within the park itself.

Awase Childrenís Park is filled with tall trees, offering youngsters a chance to collect the cicadas, beetles and other bugs and butterflies. With nets, itís reasonably easy to snare a butterfly to examine and then set free.

Itís easy to reach Awase Childrenís Park. Take Gate 2 Street through Takahara Intersection with Route 329, continuing straight to the second traffic light. Turn left and drive until you pass a hospital, Aisei Clinic, on the right side. Just past the hospital is the Bridge of Shiomi. Cross the bridge, park the car, and look for the park on the right side.
