Dinosaur slide intrigues young visitors at Misato Park

Date Posted: 2008-02-28

Misato Park is big, offering a variety of sports fields for baseball, basketball and soccer, but also a super playground for youngsters.

The dinosaur slide is popular with the younger set, as are the seesaws, while skate boarding areas are a plus for the older gang. Adults supervising their children find Misato Park ideal, with three open covered lounge areas to relax. A Kanehide supermarket across from the park makes shopping, or just picking up snack items for the park adventure, easy to accomplish.

Misato Park is reached by traveling Gate 2 Street, taking a left at Goya Intersection in Okinawa City, continuing on to Koza Intersection. Drive straight through the intersection until you pass Mister Donuts on the right side. At the traffic light, turn right by Jimmy’s and Jimmy’s Miyawaki book store. After passing Miyawaki books store and Okinawa Bank, look for the Family Mart. At the Family Mart, turn right at the traffic light, then look for parking on the left side.
