KHSAA donates $500 toward Kubasaki ‘Project Graduation’

Date Posted: 2008-02-07

The Kubasaki High School Alumni Association has presented a $500 gift toward ‘Project Graduation’, the all-night alcohol and drug-free celebration for Kubasaki High School’s graduating class of 2008.

“This represents the first time in recent years that the KHS Alumni Association has financially supported an actual event at Kubasaki,” Association President Sherry Bastion says. “We hope it is only the beginning, and that students of Kubasaki recognize that our growing organization will be here for them when they become graduates.”

KHSAA treasurer Kathy Sovine presented the gift to Kubasaki’s Parents of Seniors Group. The $500 donation toward Project Graduation is “one of the community service missions of the association,” Sovine says, “to promote the spirit of alumni unity and cameradie. Bastion added that “our members joined together to support Kubasaki’s graduating seniors, and we wish them the best as they begin their new ventures.”

Dan Fulwiler and his wife Nancy, who have a graduating Kubasaki Senior, praised the KHSAA. “The parents of our 2008 Kubasaki graduate and all students appreciate the Alumni Association’s support.”
