Marine Corps Family Readiness Teams now looking for some good candidates

Date Posted: 2008-01-04

A Marine Corps commitment to enhance and transform family readiness programs has leadership searching for highly motivated volunteers to join the project.

The Marine Corps is canvassing all bases across Okinawa, looking for qualified candidates to fill Family Readiness Officer positions and serve in the revitalized Marine Corps Family Team Building (MCFTB) positions. A spokesman says there’s a need for MCFTB Directors, Readiness and Deployment Support Trainers, Family Readiness Program Trainers, L.I.N.K.S. Trainers, Life Skills Trainers and Marine Corps Community Services Area Coordinators. The program is also seeking candidates to fill administrative positions.

The MCFTB provides educational resources and services to foster personal growth and enhance readiness of the Marine Corps family. MCFTB Okinawa is comprised of programs offering workshops and seminars supporting the Key Volunteer Network, Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge and Skills. There are also spouses’ leadership seminars, Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Programs, Chaplains Religious Enrichment and Development Operations, and Japanese Spouses Orientation.

MCCS is charged with supporting the programs through the MCFTB. Qualified candidates with excellent written and verbal skills, and an unwavering commitment to help the Marine Corps ensure Marines and families are equipped to meet challenges of the decade ahead, are asked to contact MCFTB at 645-3689.
