Nakabaru Park: A haven for kids of all ages

Date Posted: 2007-12-21

Children love Nakabaru Park because of its slides and rope slides, sand boxes and basketball courts.

Adults enjoy the leisure pace of a round of croquet. The whole family gets caught up in picnics and playing in the green zone of Nakabaru Park, which has plenty of green grass to run, walk and lay upon on a relaxing afternoon. There are three gazebos for the picnickers, and rest room facilities are in the park.

The park is located inside a housing area, where there is no parking. Officials say, though, there are plenty of parking spaces around the park.

Getting there isn’t as difficult as the directions may seem. From Kadena, take Gate 2 Street past Koza Junior High School, then look for the intersection with an ESSO gas station on the left and an ENEOS gas station on the right. Make a left turn here, then go straight, past the Miyazato AU shop on the left, up the hill and down until the rock bath on the right and Family Mart Gushikawa branch on the left. At Family Mart, turn left at the traffic light and drive until the Hitachi Electronic Shop on the right, and steak house Sado. >From there, turn left at the private school Kumon, and the park is on the left.
