Yonashiro Park a childrenís paradise

Yonashiro Park is everything a kid could want.

A playground filled with swings, chutes, net towers, multiple sets of playground equipment, and even a sandbox fills the sprawling park. Itís wide open, and perfect for children and parents to play together.

For the older youngsters, there are skateboard courses, a basketball court and a tennis court. An adjacent area has an athletic park, complete with track and field areas, and a jogging course. Thereís even an exercise and stretching area near th sea road, and the ocean breeze keeps busy exercise enthusiasts cool and relaxed.

Yonashiro Park has plenty of parking, as well as rest room facilities. Located near the Yonashiro Village office, the park has plenty of space for children to run and play.

To visit Yonashiro Park, start from Kadena Air Base Gate 2, going first to Takahara Intersection, passing through and looking for San A clothing store and Mosburger Awase branch. Turn left, then go straight past the Jusco Gushikawa branch. After passing Jusco, go up the hill to Yokatsu, then turn right at the traffic light. After passing the traffic light, make an immediate left turn, and youíll see the Sea Road and the Yonashiro Park west entrance and the Yokatsu Village office. The park is behind the office.
