Jazz Night debuts in new Koza Music Town

The soft, smooth sounds of jazz will float through the air of the new Koza Music Town tomorrow night as Music Town Jazz Night unfolds.

Fumio Karashima in Koza headlines the program at the Oto-Ichiba Theater in the Music Town complex. The Fumio Karashima Trio includes Karashima, Nobuyuni Komatu on drums and Ryu Kawamura playing bass.

The Frank Gordon Quartet will also appear, with Frank Gordon on trumpet, Hidefumi Kamura on keyboards, Isao Nishikawa doing the bass, and Masaru Shimabukuro tapping the drum skins.

The Okinawa City community has lined up to support the Jazz Night and the Koza Music Town, led by the Okinawa Chamber of Commerce Association, Okinawa City Sightseeing Association and the Okinawa Young Men’s Chamber. Also cooperating in the Jazz Night are the Jazz Association of Okinawa Prefecture and the Okinawa City Sightseeing Association’s Young men’s Department.

Advance tickets are available for ¥2,500, with those sold the day of the show ¥3,000. Tickets include one drink at the show.
