Four busted for operating unlicensed beach services

Date Posted: 2007-08-31

After repeated warnings they needed an Onna Village license to operate a marine leisure business, four members of the Taucha Long Beach Club were arrested and cited by Prefecture and Ishikawa police.

The men had been using Onna’s beach as a business location, renting beach parasols, swim goods and even boats to tourists. Onna Village officials had told the four they needed a business license from them, and even provided them all the paperwork to be filled out. Onna Village authorities finally lost patience and called in police to remove the men and their business equipment from the beach.

Police say the Taucha Long Beach Club appears to having the trappings of a gangster group. Officials say the ill gotten gains of the mens’ business will go to the Onna Village Basic Fund.
