Tomishiro City pleased with Tomiton grand openingDate Posted: 2007-08-08 “”I would very much expect local Tomishiro City people to attend and make active use of Tomiton,” says Takeshi Morita. The new facilities are in the Toyozaki area of the city, and have been named Toyozaki Life Style Center. Already though, the center’s been tagged with the nickname Tomiton. The facility is being operated by Tomishiro City Project Team Special Purpose Companies.” Masaki Arai, one of the development company officials, says “this is our first facility bult in Okinawa, and I want to make this place a delightful spot for citizens.” It has 38 shops, and is located near the Ashibinaa Outlet Mall. The Tomiton has a Mitsukoshi Department Store, Sport Depot Golf 5, the biggest shop area in Okinawa. There are also supermarkets, fashion, life and culture facilities and special event areas that can accommodate 300 people. There is a concert hall, plus a life house. Officials say the stage can be rented, and anybody can use the event hall. |
