Swollen river sweeps elderly man to deathDate Posted: 2007-06-21 Prefecture Police say Seiko Oshiro was reported missing Sunday afternoon, shortly after he waded into the swift flowing current to urinate. He was reported missing by a friend accompanying him. The friend told police Oshiro went waist-deep into the water, then disappeared. The men had reportedly been drinking prior to the incident. The 61-year-old Oshiro’s body was recovered by rescue workers at 10:20 a.m. Monday. |
