Izawa wins ¥26 million in Japan PGA TournamentDate Posted: 2007-05-18 The fifth-year seeded player stroked his way to a five-under-par 283 victory, picking up a trophy and ¥26 million in prize money. Second place went to Satoru Hirota, who fired a four-under-par 284. South Korean Kim Cho and Sushi Ishigaki tied for third with two-under-par 286 scores. Last year’s Japan PGA winner, Shinjo Katayama, wound up in 29th place with a five-over-par 293. Okinawa golfing sensation Ai Miyazato’s two brothers, Yusaku and Seishi Miyazato, both played the Japan PGA Tournament. Yusaku began strong, but faltered on Sunday, falling three strokes behind the leader. Seishi wound up in 60th place. |
