Money exchange opens At Naha International

International travelers now have a convenient spot to exchange currency and rent mobile telephones.

TISCO Japan is now operating a service for travelers at Naha International Airport, offering money exchange, bilingual phone rentals, and tourist services. Both U.S. and Taiwan dollars will be exchanged at the kiosk located inside the international terminal building.

The new service counter will also offer tourist services, including hotel bookings and information on Okinawa, and translation services. Officials say translations in seven languagesóEnglish, Chinese, Korean, German, French, Spanish and Russianówill be available, as well as sign language translations via videophones.

TISCO will take another step in May, opening a similar exchange counter inside the Naha Domestic Air Terminal. Officials say the currency exchange will initially be for Taiwanese and American money, but say they are considering expanding the service to other Asian currencies.
