Volunteers needed for 24-hour Help Lines

Help Line volunteers are needed to work with the crisis intervention teams on local military bases.

The Joint Services 24-Hour Help Lines need additional volunteer staff, and will train new personnel on December 2nd. The Help Line volunteers will be trained to provide immediate emotional support, crisis intervention, and referrals to appropriate agencies.

No experience is necessary, Help Line officials say, and flexible hours are available. Volunteers must register by November 17th. To register, call 634-4357. All volunteers must have SOFA status.
