She’s originally from San Diego, California, but as she has lived on Okinawa for 25 years, she states “Here’s my home.” Mary lives in Itoman City where she is engaged in pet-sitting and teaching English part-time. The photo was taken in front of Sam’s by-the-Sea in Oroku, Naha City. Aireen Tonaki won a ¥5,000 gift coupon to Come Across beauty salon. She lives in Ginowan City and has been on Okinawa for the past 13 years. And although she says that she sometimes misses her hometown and relatives in the Philippines, she contends “I’m enjoyinh my life here pretty much.” Next week we will raffle away a ¥5,000 dinner coupon valid at any restaurant at Tokyo Dai-Ichi Hotel Grand Mer Resort and \4,000 worth of telephone cards from Eazy Call.
