Three Marine dependents arrested in vehicle-overturning incident

Okinawa police arrested three dependents of U.S. Marines from Camp Foster on Jan. 16, charging them with causing property damage to a vehicle. The suspects reportedly admitted to the charges and said that they were just playing a prank. According to the investigation, the arrestees, aged 20, 18 and 17, were questioned about having overturned a car parked in Mihama before midnight on Jan. 3. One side of the car and a mirror suffered damages estimated at approximately ¥100,000. The three were identified by eyewitnesses as having run away from the scene of the crime.
