Muscle development and tone key to a bodybuilding championshipDate Posted: 2006-06-23 The 11th Annual Far East Bodybuilding Competition is set for August on Okinawa, and already dozens of bodybuilders are enduring sweat and pain to get ready. The event takes place at Camp Foster’s Butler Theater in early August. Sponsored by the Semper Fit Branch of Marine Corps Community Services, the event will focus on presentation, muscular development and symmetry. First to fifth place finishers in both male and female divisions will be recognized. Registration is under way through July 21st at any MCCS Semper Fit athletic facility. Entry forms are also available on the MCCS website, www.mccsokinawa.com. Registration fee is $15 per person. The 11th annual event is open to competitors Pacific wide, including both SOFA and non-SOFA status personnel. Seven divisions running from the 143-pound bantamweight to 198+ pounds heavyweight class will be available for men, while lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight categories are offered for women. Weigh-in begins at 8am August 3rd, with the finals beginning at 6pm. Spectator tickets for the finals will be on sale throughout the afternoon. |
