Piglet lost and lonely, looking for its mother

Date Posted: 2006-04-28

Itoman police on patrol found themselves apprehending a suspect of a different source over the weekend.

The police took into custody a pink colored baby pig spotted wandering the streets alone. Efforts at interrogation failed, with police unable to elicit answers to questions like ‘where did you come from?’ and ‘where is your mother?’ Police spared the cuffs, but transported the baby to the local police station, where she underwent a physical.

The Itoman veterinarian says “she looks like she hurt her nose. It appears she hit her face and bruised it. “ The vet suspects “a farmer had dropped her off a truck as he was driving somewhere, but didn’t notice it.”

Itoman police say the piglet isn’t feeling good, and sits morosely in a corner of the squad room. She doesn’t even move around, a policeman says, and they are a bit confused because they don’t know how to play with a baby pig.

Police are asking anyone with information about a missing piglet to contact the Itoman Police Station immediately, and claim the baby.
