Kin mayor to run for a second term

Date Posted: 2005-12-22

Saying he has policies yet to be initiated and promoted, Tsuyoshi Gibu has tossed his hat into the Kin Town mayoral election ring.

Gibu says he will seek a second term in February in order to continue projects already begun. He told the Town Assembly he wants to develop projects centered around the Ginbaru Training Area, which will be returned from military to civilian control soon, and to push forward on both landfill and beach park projects.

Gibu is the only person to announce an interest in running for the mayor’s office.
