School wants kids to participate in International Christmas Day

Date Posted: 2005-12-08

A local private school wants to share the holiday spirit with the international community.

Kid’s Garden School is hosting an International Christmas Day December 23rd, and is looking for participants. A school official says the Friday afternoon event is aimed at “building a strong relationship between American and Japanese kids through international exchange.” Specifically, they’re looking for youngsters three to 16 to join in the event at Itoman City’s Nishizaki General Gymansium.

Organizers expect as many as 50 to participate in a program that begins with a 12:30pm rendezvous at the Sunset Beach parking lot in Chatan, boarding a charter bus for the ride to Itoman.

The International Christmas Day, four hours of fun, games, food and drinks, will bring the boys and girls together. Santa’s even expected to drop by, and planners say there will be many games and prizes offered.

There are several ways to register. Interested families can call Ray at 090-6864-3076, or by emailing kidsgarden.school@s3.dion.ne.jp.
