Swordfish highlights Labor Day Samís dinner specials

Date Posted: 2005-09-01

Samís by the Sea Awase is making this Labor Day holiday weekend something special for its dinner guests.

Three approaches to serving swordfish, a giant of the sea, are being taken by Samís chefs during the September 2nd through 5th holiday weekend. Each affords patrons an opportunity to savor the swordfish as served in different regions of the world.

Spiced Island Swordfish draws upon traditional Cajun spices as it is pan fired over a searing high heat, then laced with a tropical fruit salsa. The dish, selling for Y1,680, is served with basilic fettuccine and seasoned vegetables. Sauteed Swordfish is an Asian delicacy, seasoned with a variety of fresh herbs and spices, then blended with a mild Thai lobster curry. It is also Y1,680.

A more American version, Charbroiled Swordfish, sells this weekend at Samís by the Sea Awase for only Y1,850. It is basted with a basil butter, then charbroiled to customer satisfaction and served with a tartar sauce.

Accompanying the charbroiled swordfish will be a stuffed baked potato, sweet corn and seasonal vegetables.
