Bold crook boasts of fraudulent activities

Date Posted: 2005-06-24

Tomishiro police are scratching their heads as they look at a man arrested for fraud.

They simply cannot believe his ego is admitting how he ripped off more than ¥5,000,000 from companies by forgery. Using his driver’s license, the man says he scammed money from Consumer Credit Company (Sarakin). But it wasn’t just them.

“I did fraud on 40 companies, and got more money,” the man professed to police. Investigators say he made fake licenses and went online, using the false licenses to take the money. He told investigators “there was one guy who gave guidance on how to get money from Sarakin Company.

He was waiting for me in the car when I went to the company to get money.” The man admitted he paid a commission to his accomplice.

Police say the man’s arrogance when he entered Sarakin Company is what attracted employee attention.
