Masked robber strikes Urasoe City pharmacy

A knife wielding robber was an unwelcome Valentine’s Day customer at a local pharmacy, making off with ¥100,00 of the store’s money.

The woman pharmacist at the Urasoe City Gusu Kuma Pharmacy Aemon was threatened with a knife, but was not injured. “One guy about 40-50 years old came into the shop with a knife and said to me ‘Give me the money!!’ so I gave him ¥100,000 from the cash register.”

The thief then tied the woman’s hands with a towel and escaped. After freeing herself the woman locked the store and called police. Investigators say they’re looking for a middle aged man, about 160cm tall with a slender body. He was wearing a cap and a towel mask.
