He also pledged to “do my best to make the military bases arrangement decrease. Also, I need to do my best for building the Graduate University project.” Inamine also called for “Okinawa this year to have a big convention call, the IDB, and for it to be a success.”

“I want to make the year good, with zero accidents or dangerous situations, zero incidents at Futenma Air Station, and I want to transfer the exercise area,” he said, adding “I will ask the American government to reduce the number of military personnel on Okinawa.” He also pledged efforts to reform the government system, saying “we should have a tight budget, so we need to cut other expenses, and reduce the number of salaried workers. Trinity reform must follow.”

Inamine says “Okinawa is still a special area by Japanese definition, and I am going tot take care to do my very best.”
