Japanese band Loudness making first Okinawa visitDate Posted: 2004-12-09 ![]() The band has led the Japanese rock scene for over two decades Loudness’ activities haven’t been confined only to Japan. Their album “Lightning Strikes” was ranked 64th on the billboard chart in 1986. They have even become popular in Europe, and a U.S. tour with Motley Crue and a successful stage show at Madison Square Garden, the first ever for Japanese performers, are part of their history. Fans were delighted when the strongest original members got together again in 2001 after going through frequent changes in members. Surprisingly, this is the first time in their long history that they will perform on Okinawa. You’ll be sorry if you miss them! The group plays Saturday evening at the Globe and Anchor Club on Camp Foster. Showtime is 9pm, with the doors opening at 8pm. There is a $10 cover charge. |
