Itoman official rips off local post office

An employee of the Post Office in Itoman found a unique way of paying his bills.

He stole money from his employer.

An auditor reviewing financial documents for the week of August 26~30 found money missing. He discovered more money missing on September 24th.

The accountant, a postal section chief, called his staff and inquired “why?”

“Sorry boss, I took it” was the response from one of his employees, who said he need it to pay a company, and for use in the snack bar.

The man was fired. Charges may be pending.

An official says the employee collected the money from customers, and held a credible position where everyone believed him. They described the thief as a serious person who didn’t make mistakes, and credited him with always doing a good job.
