‘No radiation’ found in helicopter crash debrisDate Posted: 2004-10-01 That’s the finding of a task force that surveyed the soil and debris for radiation contamination. A press conference on the OIU campus was scene for an announcement that the tests found nothing abnormal. Spokesman Tomoaki Toguchi told reporters there’s nothing for students to be concerned about as they begin the Fall term. Other university officials say they aren’t so sure of the “safe” declaration. Another survey is being conducted to find out why fluorine and benzene were discovered at the crash site. They have some theories, and promise to report to students their findings before the beginning of the next semester. |
