Okinawa City Children's Zoo reopens to public

The Okinawa City Children?s Zoo reopened its doors to the public on Monday, May 1 for the first time in months. However, the park will remain under construction until April 2004. On Monday, part of the zoo opened, but there have been no special ceremonies planned for the occasion. Management urges visitors to be patient as other areas will become available in the future.

The zoo is now open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekends, but you must enter at least one hour before closing time. Admission is 500 for adults, 200 for middle school and high school students, 100 for elementary school students and children four years old, and free for all children younger than three years old.
