Naha forest study house completed

A public facility for studying nature has been completed in Sueyoshi Park near Shuri Castle in Naha Naha City. The facility, named “Min-Min” will offer youth a place to learn about nature and environmental issues.

Sueyoshi Park is the only location within Naha City that offers natural forest environment. The facility was built with funds from the national budget, and it will be operated by a non-profit foundation set up for the purpose. The two story building cost \220 million to construct, and it has space for groups of up to 60 people.

The facility can be reserved for children’s groups of a minimum of eight students plus their supervising adults. For cost and reservations, call 098-882-3195 (in Japanese).
