Robbery in a Public Lavatory

A strange robbery case occurred on December 24th, at about 4:50pm. This was in a public lavatory in Maejima, Naha City. The incident came to happen when a 63-year old woman was washing her hands in the lavatory. As she was doing the sanitary cleansing, a man came into the lavatory all of a sudden, and tucked his hands into the victimís skirt. The intruder attempted to pull the lady into a private room of the lavatory. Howevber, he could not accomplish his act because of the victimís stringent resistance, which even led her to biting the violatorís finger. When the suspect fled from the site, he took money to the amount of •5,000 from the victimís bag. According to the womanís statement, the suspect fled the site on foot towards Matsuyama, Naha City. He is described as being some about 150cm tall; he wore khaki-colored trousers and shirt, and he seemed to be in his 50ís or 60ís. Naha City Police are still searching for the suspect.
