Yomitan Village Summit Promotion Council in ActionDate Posted: 1999-12-17 As their work towards the Summit continues, they also plan to hold clean-up campaigns, plant flowers and sensitize Yomitan Village inhabitants on the importance of the event through pamphlets and brochures. After they established the Summit Promotion Council, they held their first beach clean-up campaign on October 29th. They are now planning to conduct other clean-up campaign in July and they are supposed to join in the general clean-up campaign sponsored by the Prefecture in January. They also intend to conduct their first flower planting campaign in February, and hand out the flyers for the Summit in March. They are also going to organize special events for the leaders of the countries who will stay in Yomitan Village during the G-8 Summit. |
