Man bashed with wood after waking friendDate Posted: 1999-08-27 At about 7:40 p.m., Shirou Nakama, 70, attacked his friend, a 41-year-old man who lives in Naha City, after the man disturbed the elderly man’s sleep, police said. Police said Nakama picked up a 50cm length of wood and hit the victim in the head, face and legs for several minutes. When called to the elderly man’s home, police said they found the victim lying on the floor with Nakama standing beside him, with the blood-stained length of wood still in his hand. Police arrested Nakama, who said the relationship with his friend had soured. |
