Fitness Tip

Reiko from Camp Courtney asks: I've always heard that the only way to stay healthy is to eat healthy all the time. Is this true and if so, what do you eat?

It is true that a healthy diet aids in maintaining a healthy body, but there are other factors to consider, such as an exercise program. If it is a big concern of yours, you should check with a Certified Dietician. The dietician could get you started on the right track. As to what I eat, mostly plain steamed brown rice, plain baked potatoes, boiled egg

whites and various fruits and vegetables. I do have my cheat days, and those days I will have some Haagen-Dazs, spice cake and Frito-Lays (Onion-Rings). The key to that madness is, I plan my cheat days. I don't feel guilty in any way. Unless your doctor says otherwise, it won't hurt to have one cheat day a week. And don't feel like you have to

run to Naha and back when you do indulge. Just keep up the healthy habits and you will be okay. Remember it's your body, make your choices wisely. Any questions, you can e-mail me at creativeimages1@yahoo.com
