Official Website of G-8 Summit Inaugurated

Date Posted: 1999-12-03

On Friday, November 26th, the official site of the G-8 Summit, created by Okinawa Prefecture’s G-8 Summit Support Council, was opened up to the public.

This site carries a Message from Governor Keiichi Inamine, Information on Okinawa, Summit Information, a Sightseeing Guide and a Business Guide of Okinawa in both Japanese and English. All of the pages are thoroughly presented with useful information for people who already know Okinawa and those who do not know anything at all about the island. The address of the site is “2000 G8 Summit in Okinawa”. Though the site is mostly based on the G-8 Summit, it also has a lot of information on Okinawa itself; its economy, tourism, culture and traditional arts. For those who have interest in Okinawa and its culture, and are looking for useful information on the island, this site will be your great help. The address of the site is www.summit-okinawa.gr.jp.
