Husband Arrested for Assaulting Wife

A disagreement of parental responsibilities led to a domestic fight between a couple in Miyako Island, Sunday. According to Miyako Police the quarrel started when the husband arrived at home around midnight and found his wife drinking alcohol. He accused her of not taking care of their young child. The quarrel escalated and the enraged 28-year-old husband finally attacked his 26-year-old wife hitting her with the handle of a kitchen knife several times on the back and head.

A neighbor who heard the ruckus called the police who arrested the husband on suspicion of an assault resulting in bodily injury.
