After years of success, organizing concerts with big-name artists on the island, as well as on mainland Japan, Positive Production is bringing big excitement to the island once again.

For two days of this weekend, audiences on the island will live through fresh moments of thrill. The famous Dominican Republic musical group Proyecto Uno (Saturday) and the smash hit-maker, Noreaga – accompanied by a hardcore rap duo from Tennessee, Eight ball & M.J.G. (Sunday) - will be performing for the very first time at the Okinawa Legion Club, located right outside Camp Foster Legion Gate. This will be the much awaited “New-meets-da-dirty-south concert”, according to organizers.

On Saturday, doors will open to the public for the Proyecto Uno spectacle at 8:00pm. Following a crowd warm-up session by DJ Charly, the Latino stars will start performing at 10:30pm. The after-party debuts at midnight with live sounds from DJ Jose.

According to Positive Production, an entertainment agency involved in concert promotion, entertainment consulting, and artist management throughout Japan, there have been some changes in the Japan Tour from the original plan. From the outset, the Hot Boys were scheduled to appear on stage for the Japan tour, instead of Eight Ball & M.J.G. However, unforeseen difficulties occurred on the artists' side, and the Hot Boys could not make it to Japan and Okinawa this time.

For the Sunday one-night-all-night rave, a special guest performance by Essence and DJ Hi-Five will also be featured. Doors will open at 7:00pm and the show will begin at 8:00pm. An after party will follow the live show at the same price, as indicated below.

“We brought you L.L. Cool J, Boyz to Men, Monica, Usher, Mavericks, K-CI & JOJO, Brian Setzer Orchestra, and many others,” Broderick Morris of Positive Production announced to island hot music fans during an interview with Japan Update. “And now we're giving you Latino rhythms and Hip-Hop on the same weekend.” He also called on all fans to stay tuned for next year’s big rock concerts at the Okinawa Convention Center.

Tickets for the shows cost $38 or ¥4000 in advance and $50 or ¥5500 at the door. The tickets are available at Positive Productions Okinawa (890-2221), Kadena ITT Tours (634-4322), MCCS ITT Tours (646-3502), ACTV (645-5116), Tower Records Naha (868-0051),Book Box Hamby (936-9211), and Any Family Mart.
