Date Posted: 1999-10-30

On October 22nd, about 10:30, a 46-year-old man who worked as construction worker was squashed by a wall that was 205cm high, 258cm wide, 20cm thick and weighed 2 tons. This happened at a construction site in Kochinda-cho.

A water tank wall that the victim and other construction workers were building gave way. At the construction site, where the workers assembled the water tank, there were piles that supported the walls in order to prevent them from tumbling down. He was taken to hospital instantly after the accident happened, but he died at 21:30 at the hospital from blood shortage.
