Minor Nabbed Fake Stalking and TheftDate Posted: 1999-10-23 The minor had schemed to practice fake stalking, pretending that a stalker was trying to kill him. He apparently did this to attract her attention because he was afraid that their relationship would came to an end. Then, he committed the theft cases in order to pull more of the girl’s attention to himself. At first, the suspect put out the false information that a stalker was threatening him, asking him to break up with his girlfriend or be killed by a knife. Later, the fictitious stalker – that is, himself - sneaked into his girlfriend’s mother’s house and took 40,000 yen in cash. He then wrote messages in graffiti that scared the victims, with the purpose of having the incident look like it had been committed by the stalker. Besides that, he notified police falsely that the stalker had sneaked into his house and attempted to kill him with a knife. Unfortunately, an investigation by Naha and Yonabaru Police towards over these incidents led to another conclusion. They organized a special task force to solve these cases and inspected the victim’s house. They also questioned all the people who were concerned. The young man finally confessed his machinations, and was immediately arrested by the police. |
