No More Traffic Jams on AFN RadioBy: Monica Lopez Date Posted: 1999-10-23 It has most truly been an honor and privilege to work at AFN RADIO, 89.1, and have contact with so many people each day. Mine was an opportunity of a lifetime and the memories will stay with me forever. I thank everyone who took the time to call in for their requests or just to say hello. I especially thank those who encouraged me… All of you have changed my life, giving me the confidence to continue pursuing radio in the civilian sector. Thank you, Okinawa, for everything. Special thanks to… AFN Detachment Chief Top Al Moore, for changing so many things at AFN for the better, for your advice, support and encouragement; SrA. Dwight Hawkins (SSgt Select!) and Lonnie Scott for being such good friends to me; The rest of the Hawkins Family- Jeri, Andia, Tyger and Trajon for giving me glimpses of a beautiful and loving family; Sgt. Jason Fischer for keeping me laughing; All MCCS clubs and restaurants for delivering all of our radio promises, each and every time; Richard Lenaeus at MCCS Marketing for always ensuring that listeners get great prizes from Wave 89.1; MCCS Entertainment – Dureil, Felicia, and Pat & Ray for making events that much more fun; MCCS Broadcasting – Victor, Steve and Kevin, in no particular order --- you guys taught me a lot, whether you realize it or not; Reggie at “SAUCE”, for your wonderful food --- do you deliver to NY?
